The Most of Winter

Cold feet will lead the way,
Say the blowing clouds.
They nose their way in pain,
Through veils of mist and shroud.
With many hands and seeking eyes,
They slow the burning ones;

For winter comes and heat will starve; now the gods prepare to rouse.
